August, 2022 I have been working in the education consultancy field for the past 20 years, in which most of my time has been spent as a traditional project manager. As I have gained experience through my work at Unicon, I grew from managing small project efforts to large client initiatives that included cross-department, multi-vendor projects with high stakes. I’m a project manager at heart and I keep a spreadsheet for everything.
August, 2022 At Unicon, I have been fortunate enough to work on all kinds of different projects. As an education consultancy, we help our clients solve their most complex and challenging problems. From K-12, Higher Education, to Education Technology companies, we help clients with a wide spectrum of solutions ranging from integration, to content development or hosting, and operations.
July, 2022 Over the last ten years, data workers have been watching a trend of productization in the data ecosystem as SaaS solutions have flooded into the market. This has been surprising to some (including me) as I once declared, “The war for data dominance is over, and the big players have already won.” New services have since rushed in to fill niches that have streamlined every aspect up and down the traditional data pipeline, creating a “data division of labor.”

We covered Q4 of 2021 and Q1 of 2022.The uPortal OSS Periodic Briefing is an opportunity to share the contributions performed by Unicon on behalf of the OSS program, highlight Unicon's perspective on contributions, share happenings in the community, and describe opportunities to engage further with Unicon.
June, 2022 We’ve touched on Edu-API in this space previously, and those of you who know me have heard me talk about it, if not ad infinitum certainly ad nauseum. Perhaps naturally enough, with my own background in SIS product development and integration, the impetus behind the development of Edu-API is a problem space that has driven much of my career in edtech.
