As an Official Champion, Unicon Recognizes its Commitment to Cybersecurity, Online Safety, and Privacy
Gilbert, AZ – October 8, 2019 – Unicon, Inc., a leading provider of education technology consulting and digital services, today announced that it has become a Champion of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2019. Unicon joins a global effort among businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, associations, nonprofit organizations and individuals to promote the awareness of online safety and privacy and provide a safer, more secure, and more trusted Internet.
A multi-layered and far-reaching campaign held annually in October, NCSAM was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure all digital citizens have the resources needed to stay safer and more secure online while also protecting their personal information. The theme for 2019 is ‘Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.’, helping to encourage personal accountability and proactive behavior in digital privacy, security best practices, common cyber threats, and cybersecurity careers. As an official Champion, Unicon recognizes its commitment to cybersecurity, online safety, and privacy.
Co-founded and led by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), NCSAM has grown exponentially since its inception, reaching consumers, small and medium-sized businesses, corporations, government entities, the military, educational institutions, and young people nationally and internationally. NCSAM 2018, with a theme that emphasized the role everyone plays in promoting a more trusted Internet, generated widespread media coverage, with over 3.6 billion views. It also garnered strong partner participation, government engagement, and widespread support from academia. The Champion program continues to grow with close to 1380 organizations registered for 2019. Now in its 16th year, NCSAM 2019 presents an unparalleled opportunity to leverage the month’s tremendous adoption growth over the last several years and expand cybersecurity and privacy education and awareness globally.
