Gilbert, AZ – November 19, 2018— Unicon, Inc. announced the release of the Get to Know LTI® Advantage video presented by Linda Feng, Software Architect, Unicon. LTI Advantage is a package of extensions for the IMS Global Learning Consortium® (IMS) Learning Tools Interoperability® (LTI®) standard. The availability of LTI Advantage is the next step in accelerating a fully integrated and innovative digital ecosystem for the next generation of teaching and learning.

On the Road to LTI Advantage: Bringing Assignment and Grade Services to Moodle

The recently published IMS App Note illustrates the collaborative development between IMS Global, Cengage, MoodleTM HQ, and Unicon to bring a new LTI specification into the MoodleTM core platform.

Initially, Moodle lacked a proper integration for Cengage's digital learning solution, MindTap. Rather than building a custom plugin, Cengage worked with Unicon and Moodle HQ to bring new LTI specifications into core Moodle. 

Unicon Technologists to Deliver 11 Presentations at the Open Apereo 2018 Conference

Unicon, Inc. will be leading and participating in a total of 11 technical workshops, presentations, and showcase demos at the upcoming Open Apereo 2018 conference in Montréal, Québec, Canada, June 3-7, 2018. Five open source software developers, architects, and engineers from Unicon will present on a variety of Apereo Foundation projects for the online campus, with topics including open source application deployment, development, and support.
