Gilbert, AZ – October 17, 2014— Unicon, Inc., a leading IT consulting, services, and support provider specializing in open source for the education technology market, today announced a free webinar in which St. Petersburg College (SPC) will present on how early alert technology has impacted student success at their institution. The webinar, presented by Dr. Nicotera, Provost, SPC, will cover SPC's Student Success Plan (SSP) implementation, results, and success rates based on 10,000 early alerts. As the first adopter of open source SSP in August 2012, SPC will be sharing their story of evolution and best practices with respect to implementation, institutional rollout, and adoption.
SSP is student engagement technology designed to improve retention, persistence, graduation rates, and time to degree. It features an Early Alert tool that faculty can use from within the learning management system to report alerts on at-risk students to advisors and counselors. Advisors and counselors may then take action, such as reaching out to the student for an advising session, to put the student back on the right track. Early alerts are critical in achieving student success, and this webinar will provide best practices when utilizing SSP’s Early Alert tool.
This webinar took place on Wednesday, October 22, at 1 p.m. EST. Click here to access the recording.
