As Peter Knoop writes on the Sakai Announcements email list:

Greetings,

The official release of Sakai 2.5.0 is being delayed to the week of 10
March 2008 due to continuing complications in upgrading our build
management software. As a result of the delay we will also be
incorporating a few recently added performance improvements in to the
release. These and several other fixes, which have been tested in
production at several universities, have been added to the 2.5.x
maintenance branch:

https://source.sakaiproject.org/svn//sakai/branches/sakai_2-5-x/

We will likely provide another release candidate RC3 from this branch on
Monday, which will incorporate these fixes, while we continue to work on
the build management process.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sakai 2.5.0 anticipated week of 24 March 2008

As Peter Knoop writes on the Sakai announcements list:

Greetings,

The official release of Sakai 2.5.0 is anticipated for the week of 24
March 2008. Continuing complications in upgrading our build management
software have been the main cause for delay. As a fallback, and in
order to avoid further delays, we will manually build the release, if
necessary. We do not, however, anticipate making any further changes to
the code prior to the release, as the only remaining work is
build-related and has nothing to do with Sakai functionality. So the
last release candidate (2.5.0-rc4a), which was created earlier this
month, is essentially what the release will contain. You can obtain the
source code for it from the Sakai source repository:

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
