Rich Integration with PeopleSoft

I'm currently developing a portlet for the University of Colorado System that allows users to access and manipulate records in PeopleSoft. It leverages Component Interface technology to interact with Colorado's production PeopleSoft environment. This particular portlet targets Direct Deposit information used by the payroll system.

In fact there are several integration efforts underway at Colorado, of which this portlet is just one. Emergency Contact and Address Update are also in the works, with more tools to follow.

It seems like I've participated in several planning sessions where this sort of integration was discussed, but never previously had the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and dig into the task. I'm glad to get the chance, finally; the effort strikes me as both useful and manageable.
