How are permissions administered for the Classifieds Channel?

The Classifieds Channel permissions are controlled through the Permissions Manager Channel. That channel allows the granting of permissions to delete any posted classified, and to manage classified topics.

If a user is granted the permission to manage a classified topic then he or she can appoint an approver for the classified topic. Any user can create a classified if the Channel is part of their layout; however, a classified is not visible to others until it is approved by a designated classifieds approver.

Note: Classifieds are hard coded to delete after 30 days.

Steps to modify permissions:

1. Access the Permissions Manager.
2. Check the checkbox next to Academus Classifieds and Select Submit button.
3. Select the checkbox next to one or both of the following permissions: manage and delete and select the Submit button.
4. The next screen to appear is the Permissions Manager which enables the admin to select the group and or individual user who is to be granted the permission. Place a checkmark next to the group and select the Select Marked button and then select the Done with Selection button.
5. Lastly, select the Grant option then click Submit button.
