What do I check if the text editor will not open or page preview is blank?

If you get a page can not be displayed error message when trying to open the text editor or on page preview:

 

Go to IIS Manager -> Default Website -> RedDot5 Virtual Folder -> Properties ->Configuration -> Options -> Check Enable Parent Paths
