How can our institution make modifications to the initial Guest layout?

The default channel layout displayed on the log-in screen is controlled by the 'guest' account in Academus. The layout can be configured for Academus 1.5 and older by following the steps below:

1. Login to Academus with the username 'guest'
2. Click on the 'Preferences' link and modify guest's channel layout to fit your needs
3. Restart Academus

Upon restarting Academus, users will see guest's channel layout when they access the log-in screen.

You can modify the names and placement of tabs, the channels that will be accessible by guests, and the layout of those channels in the Preferences screen.

To configure the layout for Academus 2.0, please follow the steps below:

1. Login to Academus with the username 'guest'
2. Click on the 'Customize' link and modify the guest channel layout to fit your needs

Please note you do not need to restart Academus to save the guest channel layout in Academus 2.0.
