NYU and Unicon Present Sakai Portfolio Track at 10th Annual Sakai Conference
Phoenix, AZ - July 1, 2009 —Unicon, Inc., a leading provider of software consulting services for the education market, today announced that representatives from New York University (NYU) and Unicon will jointly present a Portfolio Session Track titled, “Alternatives to OSP: Making Portfolios Flexible and Fun (Yes, Fun!)” at the 10th Annual Sakai Conference being held July 8-10, 2009 at the Cambridge Hyatt Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. The presentation will focus on the Simonides project which has developed a powerful and flexible portfolio tool “Memory Palace” for Sakai version 2.6. The Memory Palace tool is designed to tap the potential of instructional technology and provide an avenue for student self-representation within the Sakai Collaborative Learning Environment. NYU partnered with Unicon to develop the Memory Palace tool for organizing and presenting content and providing integration with NYU’s Xythos content repository.
