Duties/Job Description
The Senior Sales Consultant is responsible for selling Unicon’s packaged professional services offerings and customized consulting services into new and existing Higher Education Accounts. The successful candidate will have a track record in technology solution sales – with an emphasis on Professional Services. Unicon is committed to working with institutions to develop enterprise-level technology solutions for their online campus.
Responsibilities
- Identify, manage, and close business within their assigned territory with an average annual quota of $750,000 to $1,000,000
- Drive leads to closure by executing a disciplined solution selling process
- Demonstrate technology solutions to potential customers
- Sell to business technology and academic executives in higher education
- Act as the Account Manager for new clients
- Execute various methods to identify business opportunities including, but not limited to, cold-calling and referrals
- Responsible for sales campaigns and communication within assigned territory
- Qualify and propose solutions to client opportunities
- Conduct appropriate sales meetings to move opportunities to closure
- Work with technical management to derive solutions and develop proposals that meet institutional objectives
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Develop major account plans and identify all key players in each major account
- Manage the relationship with new clients to ensure that customer expectations on delivery are met
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of business development activities and pipeline
- Attend industry conferences in assigned territory
- Record all contact information in the company CRM system
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Sales Experience
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Ability to sell to senior executives and translate business needs into technology solutions
- Bachelor’s degree
- Team player able to build and maintain both internal and external relationships
- Experience leveraging strategic relationships
- Good knowledge and relationships within the educational industry is a plus
- Based within close proximity to a major North East city
